Beyond her teaching responsibilities, Hopf is said to support colleagues as a mentor and promotes inclusive learning techniques.

From Holland Elementary School, Lindsey Sickbert was named Elementary Teacher of the Year. She is a leader, and our building and our students are blessed to learn from her teaching.”

Known for using student data to inform her instruction, she takes great care so that each student receives the support necessary to succeed. Sickbert is also active in her school, contributing to several leadership teams, mentoring fellow educators, and helping with various school events. She is appreciated for her positivity and dedication to her students.

In their announcement, the Southwest Dubois School Corporation said, “Together, these educators represent the passion, hard work, and care that define Southwest Dubois schools.
