Sam Bush is revered by peers and predecessors, traditionalists and rebels, as well as the next gen devotees. Bush played a part in rolling out the New Grass revolution, and he set out on blazing his own path in the world of music when he turned down an invitation from Roy Acuff to join his band.
Born in Bowling Green, Kentucky, Bush developed a love of music almost immediately, and he quickly became an acclaimed fiddler. His first recorded album came during his senior year of high school, and then Bush began a musical journey that has been extensive, enduring, and highly decorated.
The Lowland Ramblers, one of the rising talents out of Kentucky, will open the evening of music. Fusing their traditional bluegrass roots with modern sounds, the string band is determined to carve out their space in the state’s robust musical heritage. With their unique fusion of music, The Lowland Ramblers bring fans together for an unforgettable live show.
In addition to sharing the evening with Sam Bush, the Next Act, Inc. invites you to join them at The Astra for other 2026 events. These events include comedian Night Moves - The Ultimate Bob Seger Tribute on Saturday, September 26, The Cold Stares on Saturday, November 21, and many more. All events have tickets available on our website at AstraTheater.com, with more events to come.
The historic Astra Theatre is located in the heart of downtown Jasper, Indiana. Newly renovated with 357 seats, the Astra has main level and balcony seating with a concessions stand offering snacks, local craft and domestic beer, and wine that are available for purchase.
