Runners and Walkers Coming Through Ferdinand with the 11th Annual Heartland Half Marathon on September 16

Ferdinand– Heartland Half Marathon, 5K, Team Challenge, and Kids Fun Run is fast approaching, taking place on Friday, September 15 and Saturday, September 16 in Ferdinand, Indiana.

On that Saturday, the half marathon and team challenge begins at 7:30 a.m. (ET) with the 5K start at 8:30 a.m. (ET). Grab a friend or a family member to cheer the runners on along the route. Signs, music, or just good, old-fashioned clapping along with words of support go a long way in encouraging a runner or walker to keep pushing toward the finish line. Let’s show this year’s participants what Hoosier hospitality is all about!

The Heartland Committee would like to remind the Ferdinand community to yield to race participants and be courteous to our volunteers who are protecting the runners and walkers. Also, to keep everyone safe, we ask that those who live along the race route, please be sure to keep your pets secure Saturday morning from 7:30am-11:30am.
