Road closure planned for State Road 57 in Gibson County
The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a road closure for State Road 57 in Gibson County.
Beginning on or around Monday, May 11, crews will close State Road 57 near Buckskin. This closure will occur between East County Road 850 South and East County Road 750 South over Smith Fork.
This lane closure will allow for bridge maintenance work. Work is expected to take a month to complete, depending on the weather.
The official detour for this project is State Road 68 to I-69 to State Road 168. Local traffic will have access up to the point of closure. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones.
