Road closure planned for State Road 257 in Pike County
The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a road closure for State Road 257 in Pike County.
Beginning on or around Wednesday, October 21, crews will close State Road 257 near Otwell. This closure will occur between County Road 50 N and County Road 200 South. The closure will occur after a project on nearby State Road 56 has re-opened.
The closure on S.R. 257 will allow for two culvert replacement projects. Work is expected to take a week to complete, depending on the weather.
The official detour for this project is State Road 56 to U.S. 231 to State Road 64. Local traffic will have access up to the point of closure. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones.
