Public Hearing Scheduled For Proposed 18% Huntingburg Water Rate Increase

HUNTINGBURG -- Officials in Huntingburg are discussing a water rate increase for city residents.

Multiple sources are reporting the Huntingburg Common Council introduced a bill this week that would increase water rates by 18%.

It’s to make up for the rising cost of buying water from the Patoka Lake Regional Water and Sewer District.

A public hearing on the matter will be held on Tuesday, November 26^th at 5:30 p.m. at Huntingburg City Hall.
