Portion of State Road 237 to be dedicated to fallen police officer in Perry County

The Indiana Department of Transportation announces the renaming of a portion of State Road 237 in Perry County to the “Sergeant Heather J. Glenn Memorial Highway.”

   

Sergeant Heather Glenn was a lifelong resident of Tell City and spent 20 years serving her community as part of the Tell City Police department.

Glenn lost her life in the line of duty on July 3, 2023 while attempting to arrest a domestic violence suspect at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

The newly renamed “Sergeant Heather J. Glenn Memorial Highway” will be located on S.R. 237 near the Perry County Memorial Hospital.

A dedication ceremony is planned for Wednesday, July 8, 2026. This ceremony will be held at City Hall Park in Tell City at 10:00 a.m. central time.
