NEW INFO: Man Killed in Wednesday Morning Crash on SR 64 Has Been Identified

HUNTINGBURG -- A driver was killed in a Wednesday morning crash on St Rd 64 at Co Rd 650 W, 2.5 miles West of the City of Huntingburg.

First Responders arrived on scene and found a male driver deceased.

He's been identified as 87 year old Emil Maier of Velpen.

Two females from a second vehicle refused treatment at the scene, but they were taken by personal vehicle for treatment to Memorial Hospital for injuries that are thought to be minor.

Drugs and/or alcohol are not thought to be a factor.

SR 64 was closed until 9:15 a.m. while the scene was cleared.
