New Ferdinand Veterans Memorial Officially Dedicated on Memorial Day

FERDINAND -- The Memorial Day weekend was a time for many to hit the road to summer destinations, but in Ferdinand, it was a day to honor those who have served our country.
The town’s new Veterans Memorial was officially dedicated Monday.

It features a large granite monument thanking all U.S. Veterans , five smaller monuments representing each branch of the United States Military, and three flags – the U.S. flag, Indiana flag, and the black POW/MIA flag.
A granite stone engraved with the saying, “All gave some, some gave all”, is at the foot of the large monument.

U.S. Senator, Mike Braun, spoke at the dedication along with Indiana Senator, Mark Messmer and Ferdinand Town President, Ken Sicard.
