The Astra Theatre is excited for the return of The Cold Stares on Saturday, November 21, for another great night of music at the historic theatre. Doors open at 7:00 PM with music beginning at 8:00 PM.

Tickets are on sale now at www.AstraTheater.com.  Reserved seating tickets are $20 for the balcony and $25 for the main floor seating.

The Cold Stares are just fine with being one of the few modern blues-rock power trios in the world today. Based out of Evansville, IN, the band continues to explore what it means to be a “modern” blues-rock trio on their upcoming album Texas - paying tribute to the state where so many of their influences, like ZZ Top and the Vaughan brothers, called home.

Initially formed in 2012, The Cold Stares began their career as a duo, but expanded their sonic firepower with the addition of bassist Bryce Klueh in 2022. Fuzzed-out guitars, classic rock guitar riffs, and fleet-fingered Cream-style improvisations abound, as do nods to Delta blues and an emphasis on songwriting and lyricism. The group has been praised by Classic Rock Magazine, No Depression, and American Songwriter, among other outlets. They reached #1 on Amazon Music’s Blues Rock album chart, and they’ve had consecutive albums in Billboard Blues top ten charts.

Bedford, a modern southern rock and indie power trio based in Lexington, KY, will kick off the night of music at 8:00 PM. The band excels at delivering groove-driven rock with hard-hitting lyrics, equally balancing swagger and soul.

In addition to sharing the evening with The Cold Stares, the Next Act, Inc. invites you to join them at The Astra for other 2026 events. These events include the Movies on Main series, including Toy Story 5 on Friday, November 6, Elf on Friday, November 27, The Grinch on Friday, December 4, and The Polar Express on Saturday, December 5. Country Music Night featuring Cody Ikerd & The Sidewinders on Saturday, December 19, will close out the 2026 season. All events have tickets available on our website at AstraTheater.com, with more events to come in 2027.

The historic Astra Theatre is located in the heart of downtown Jasper, Indiana. Newly renovated with 357 seats, the Astra has main level and balcony seating with a concessions stand offering snacks, local craft and domestic beer, and wine that are available for purchase.
