National Weather Service Issues Area Weather Alert
Local Sources - The National Weather Service in Louisville has issued a weather alert for portions of Southern Indiana and Northern Kentucky.
From the National Weather Service: Waves of moderate to heavy rainfall will ride along a stalled frontal boundary across our region Friday night through Saturday. As this occurs, 2 to 4 inches of rainfall is expected with locally higher amounts up to 5".
This could lead to rapid rises on area creeks and streams, and some flooded roadways.
Use caution if traveling for the holiday. Don't drive into flooded roadways, and pay special attention at night.
The flood watch is in effect until 10 p.m. Saturday night.
