Memorial to Resume Certain Elective Procedures Today, Visitation Restrictions Still in Place

FROM LOCAL SOURCES

JASPER -- Memorial Hospital in Jasper will resume certain elective procedures and surgeries today.

Those types of surgeries were cancelled at the beginning of the governor’s month-old Stay-at-Home order.  Provider offices will be contacting patients whose procedures were postponed due to COVID-19.

Starting today, places like dentists, dermatologists, and other offices will begin seeing patients for the first time in over a month. Although offices are open, some Hoosiers are still opting to reschedule for later in the summer.

If you are going to an appointment, there will be more protective equipment and facility cleanings to keep you and your doctors safe.

Memorial Hospital officials say they "remain committed to resuming these elective surgeries in the safest ways for our patients and our staff."

Visitor restrictions remain in place at the hospital.  See the flier below for more information....
