Memorial Hospital Provides Stop the Bleed Kits to Local Schools

Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center’s Trauma Services created and distributed 2,000 Stop the Bleed® kits for 21 local schools and has offered free training to school staff. Funding for the kits was provided by the Memorial Hospital Foundation thanks to donors and supporters of the 2023 Memorial Hospital Foundation Gala. The Gala raised nearly $274,000 for Memorial Hospital Emergency and Trauma services. Jasper Rubber donated 100 boxes for packing and delivery. Stop The Bleed® is an informational program that focuses on the immediate response to bleeding, recognizing life-threatening bleeding, and appropriate ways to stop the bleeding.
