Memorial Hospital Asks Drivers to Use Caution During Next Weekend's Heartland Half Marathon

JASPER -- The Heartland Half Marathon will be held Saturday, September 1st, and Memorial Hospital wants to remind drivers to be safe on the roads that day.

The event committee is asking drivers to look out for road closures on the morning of September 1st.

There will be lots of walkers and runners out there.

You are being asked to pack your patients if you get caught at an intersection.

Road closures will begin at 6:30 a.m. and go through about 7:45 a.m.

This will include Third Avenue from Azura Grill to Mill Street and from Mill Street to Ninth Street.
