Mastering Home Food Preservation with Purdue Extension
Join Purdue Extension on June 23-26, 2026 for four days of intensive food preservation education. Topics covered include food safety, boiling water bath and pressure canning, pickling/fermentation, freezing, dehydrating, freeze drying, and jams/jellies. The course includes a lecture and discussion on each topic followed by hands-on practice of proper food preservation techniques. The course is appropriate for anyone interested in learning the science of safe food preservation including beginners and seasoned preservers alike.
