MARY ALLEN JOINS CONGRESSIONAL COURAGE AND ACCOUNTABILITY SUMMIT

Mary Allen is participating in the inaugural Courage and Accountability Summit September 29-30 in Washington joining political reform PACs that represent more than 100 congressional candidates in the 2026 general election.  

The summit, hosted by American People’s Compact, Courage for Democracy, and Take BAC Congress, begins with a policy discussion focused on Congressional responsibility and government reform at 4 p.m. (ET) on Sept. 29 at the National Press Club. 

Candidates and leaders will assemble at 9 a.m. Sept. 30. on the West steps of the U.S. Capitol for a rally and press briefing. 

“We need comprehensive political reform to restore faith in our democracy,” Allen said. “It is time to end system-wide corruption, put the public interest first, and return power to where it belongs: the American people.”

Allen is a Take BAC Congress signatory and endorses the organization’s five popular reform positions: congressional term limits, overturning Citizens United, a moratorium on lobbying with minimum of five years between elected office and lobbying, banning congressional stock trading, and an enforceable code of ethics for the U.S. Supreme Court.
