Mark Your Calendars! Huntingburg Park and Recreation Workshop is Scheduled for October 6, 2026

Please mark your calendars for Tuesday, October 6, 2026, from 1:00–4:00 PM for the public Huntingburg Park and Recreation Plan Workshop. The workshop will be held at the Huntingburg Senior Center, located at 1860 Medical Arts Drive. The City of Huntingburg is partnering with Purdue University Extension as we work to develop a new Park and Recreation Plan for our community.

During the workshop, participants will work with Purdue Extension specialists and educators to learn more about the important role parks and public spaces play in Huntingburg. Attendees will have the opportunity to share ideas, collaborate with other community members, and help develop a vision for the future of Huntingburg’s parks. The workshop will also include facilitated activities focused on best practices for improving public spaces and provide participants with tools and resources that can be used to plan and implement projects that are tailored to the needs of our community.

This workshop, along with similar workshops held throughout Indiana, is part of Purdue Extension Community Development’s Enhancing the Value of Public Spaces program. The program provides continuing education and resources for regional, community, business, and neighborhood leaders throughout Indiana and assists communities with a variety of local planning efforts.
