Man Arrested For Allegedly Driving Drunk, Hitting Parked Cars and Then a Church Over the Weekend

VINCENNES -- A Knox County man was arrested after allegedly driving drunk and hitting a church.

Police say 21-year-old Joseph Bauer of Vincennes was driving a pickup truck east on 10th Street in Vincennes Saturday morning when he hit several parked cars and then into a church located on Wabash Avenue.

He had a blood alcohol content of .22%.

He wasn’t hurt, but he was booked into the Knox County jail on a misdemeanor charge of Driving While Intoxicated.

No word today on the extent of the damage at the church.
