Longtime SVB&T Employee Retiring

On December 31, 2023, after 23 years of service, Linda Rice will retire from Springs Valley Bank & Trust Company, leaving behind a familiar presence that will be missed by both customers and colleagues.

Linda graduated from Salem High School, where she was also a member of the National Honor Society. She has worked as Loan Processor at Springs Valley since she started in 2000 and is also a certified notary.

“Linda has had a very nice career in banking spanning over 23 years. During her career, Linda has come to work and brightened her customer’s and fellow employee’s day. Linda has exemplified SVB&T’s Core Values and really takes pride in making sure her customers are well taken care of. It shows how Linda answers the phone, “How can I make this the best call of your day” or singing and bringing her assigned loan officers soft drinks every day.” said Brain Schwartz, Assistant Vice President & Loan Operations Manager. “Linda has been a pleasure to work with and will be missed by our staff and her regular customers. We wish Linda all the best upon her retirement from SVB&T.”

Linda and her husband Walter reside in Ferdinand. Linda and Walter have three (3) children and eight (8) grandchildren. Linda is a member of Central Christian Church of Huntingburg, IN and has taught Childrens Sunday School for several years. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, scrapbooks, and making greeting cards.

“During my time here at Springs Valley Bank & Trust Company, I found not just a workplace but a family. Each day was a testament to collaboration, growth, and the priceless trust built.” said Linda. “As I move on to this next chapter, I carry with me the cherished memories of a journey marked by competence, friendship, and the joy of contributing to something great! I will miss being part of the Springs Valley team!”
