Dubois Farmers Earn National Awards

Dubois- Five Kalb’s from Dubois, IN have been recognized by the National Corn Growers Association (NCGA). 

Emmersen, Kevin, Nikia, Rhylan, and Shawn Kalb were recognized by the NCGA in this year’s National Corn Yield Contest. Two of the Kalbs placed first overall.

Emmersen placed third nationally in the Conventional Non-Irrigated Class with a yield of 340.0538 bushels per acre. The winning field was DEKALB DKC67-94RIB.

Kevin placed first in the nation in the Strip-Till, Minimum-Till, Mulch-Till, Ridge-Till Class Non-Irrigated Class with a yield of 360.1445 bushels per acre. The winning field was DEKALB DKC65-99RIB.

Nikia, Shawn and Rhylan would take home the top three in the No-Till Non-Irrigated Class. Nikia placed first with a yield of 355.7383 bushels per acre. Shawn took home second place and Rhylan finished in third. 

The Kalb’s were invited to the 2023 Commodity Classic held March 9-11, 2023, in Orlando, FL.
