Local Diocese Promises to Collect and Release Names of Accused Priests

EVANSVILLE -- The bishop of the catholic diocese of Evansville has announced church leaders will collect and release the names of priests who have been credibly accused of sexual abuse of children.

If you have been, or know someone who has been abused by a member of the Catholic Church, you are encouraged to contact authorities.

The church has faced renewed pressure over alleged sexual abuse by priests in recent months.

The Evansville Diocese includes Dubois and its surrounding counties.
