Kimball International’s Showroom and Zing Product Introduction Win Awards During Design Days

Kimball International is proud to share two awards that they were honored to receive during this year’s Fulton Market Design Days. Their Chicago Showroom was selected as the 2026 IIDA Showroom and Booth Design Competition winner for Fulton Market and their new table introduction, Zing, was selected as Interior Design Magazine’s HiP Award Honoree.

Kimball International’s 13,000+ square foot showroom was honored by IIDA for its originality of design, visual impact, and effective use of materials. Criteria for the annual Showroom and Booth Design Competition consists of outstanding use of space, color, texture, lighting, and graphics.

“We’re incredibly proud to be recognized by IIDA for our showroom design,” said Jessica Gubbins, Vice President of Brand, Digital, and Insights Marketing for Kimball International. “This award reflects our team’s commitment to creativity, thoughtful storytelling, and our passion for offering meaningful experiences that truly connect with the design community.”

Kimball International’s Chicago showroom welcomed guests by showcasing Work That Feels Good. The space focuses on the ways that furniture does more than support work. It shapes how people think, feel, and perform. Inspired by research into human experience, each space in the showroom is designed to support the range of moments that happen throughout the day, from connection and collaboration to focus and rest. Guests experienced how thoughtful design, materiality, and product solutions combine to create environments that feel intuitive, supportive, and human.

“Each year, the designers and brands on display continue to push the boundaries of what a showroom or exhibition space can be,” said IIDA Executive Vice President and CEO, Cheryl S. Durst, Hon. FIIDA. “This year’s winners have created environments that are thoughtfully designed to tell a story, foster connection, and inspire the design community.”
