Kimball Electronics Gives Announces Recipients of 2020 Grants

Kimball Electronics Gives, the company's employee giving circle, has announced the recipients of its 2020 charitable grants.  A total of $8,950 was granted to seven worthy causes.  A total of $6,700 was awarded to five 501c3 tax exempt charitable organizations based in Dubois County with a total of $2,250 awarded to two 501c3 tax exempt charitable organizations based outside of Dubois County.

The grant recipients based in Dubois County include: Crisis Connection receiving $2,500; Cops and Kids receiving $1,200; Girls on the Run receiving $1,000; St. Isidore Grace Co-op’s Backpack Buddies program receiving $1,000; and the Alzheimer’s Association’s Tri-County Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Jasper receiving $1,000.

Grant recipients based outside of Dubois County include Anderson Woods Summer Camp, in Bristow receiving $1,250 and the Boys and Girls Club of Evansville Inc., in Evansville receiving $1,000.

The decision on who received grants and their respective monetary values was solely employee-driven.

Employees, who voluntarily pay an annual partnership fee to belong to the employee giving circle, selected the recipients.

This year, there were 56 KEG partners.

In the three years that KEG has been in existence, a total of $22,550 has been granted through the giving circle’s philanthropical efforts.
