Keep Traffic Flowing: Use the Left Lane for Passing

The Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) wants to remind Hoosiers of a key rule of the road that can cause plenty of frustration, particularly on interstate highways: Slower-moving vehicles keeping right in multi-lane traffic isn’t just a courtesy; it’s the law. 

The Indiana Driver's Manual states that, "On the highway, slower vehicles should use the right lane. Leave the left-hand lane for faster-moving or passing vehicles.”
