Jasper VU and Patoka Valley Career Center Launch Indiana State Earn and Learn programs
Jasper - In conjunction with
The Indiana Office of Work-Based Learning and Apprenticeship, Jasper VU and The Patoka Career Center will officially certify two State Earn and Learn programs, or SEALs, Tuesday.
The SEALs programs, in Automation and Robotics, and Construction, will include multiple employer partners that provide opportunities for students to work and learn through internships and summer employment opportunities.
"We are very fortunate to live in a community that values teamwork," Vincennes University Director Jacob Berg said. "Our SEAL programs offer students the opportunity to gain high school credit, college credit, and real world experience while saving money and building a resume."
The certification press conference is scheduled for Tuesday, 11 a.m., at the Vincennes University Jasper campus.
