JASPER SCHOOL OFFICIALS: 1,911 Students Had to Quarantine During the First Semester

JASPER -- School officials in Jasper are releasing COVID-19 data from the first semester.

1,911 students had to quarantine due exposure.  This includes students who may have been quarantined more than once.

97.6% of Jasper students who quarantined did not become ill and were eventually able to return to class.

45 students who were quarantined later tested positive for COVID-19.

78 members of staff had to quarantine.  72% of them had to stay home due to external exposure, like public gatherings or other family members.

28% of staff in Jasper Schools had to quarantine due to internal exposure.

Out of 78 employees quarantined, 71 of them did not get sick.  Seven members of staff who quarantined tested positive after exposure.
