Jasper Police Arrest Two on Drug Charges During Traffic Stop

Jasper - Monday morning, Jasper Police Officers arrested two individuals on drug charges during a traffic stop.


Just prior to 10:00 a.m. on Monday, a traffic stop was conducted with a Ford Ranger near the intersection of 7th Street and McCrillus in Jasper. 

The vehicle was being driven by Zachary Jacob, 31, of Owensboro, Kentucky, and Kimberly D. Scott, 52, of Owensboro, Kentucky, occupied the front passenger seat. During the course of the traffic stop it was determined that the vehicle was not registered, and there was no insurance on it. 

A wrecker was requested to tow the vehicle. An inventory of the contents of the vehicle was completed, and while conducted the inventory a box was located that had been sitting between both the driver and passenger. 

The box contained marijuana, methamphetamine, and glass pipes used to introduce methamphetamine into the body. 

Both Jacob and Scott were arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Paraphernalia.
