Jasper Pair Arrested Overnight in Huntingburg on Neglect, Meth, Other Charges

HUNTINGBURG -- A Jasper pair were arrested in Huntingburg overnight on multiple felonies.

Police stopped 23-year-old Caleb Dubon Jr. and 45-year-old Eugenia Neukam near the intersection of Van Buren and 19th Streets just before 2:30 this morning for speeding.

A Police K9 was called to the scene for an open-air sniff.  When the dog alerted to drugs in the car, a search was conducted.

Inside, police found just over 7 grams of meth, syringes, look-a-like drugs and paraphernalia.

Officers say a juvenile was in the vehicle at the time.  The child is now in the custody of her grandmother.

They are both charged with possession of the items.  Neukam is also charged with Neglect and Visiting a Common Nuisance.

Dubon faces an additional charge of Maintaining a Common Nuisance.
