IU Health Paoli Walk-In Fills Healthcare Need in Orange County

Paoli – The IU Health Paoli Hospital has announced the opening of their Walk-In office on Sundays.

In a statement, representatives from the Hospital said, "IU Health Paoli Hospital is one of many hospitals across Indiana experiencing a patient surge which puts incredible pressure on our resources and team members. To better care for our community during this time, we have decided to open the IU Health Paoli Walk-In office on Sundays from 1 – 5 pm until further notice."

No appointment is necessary, and COVID testing is available.

“IU Health continually looks for ways to help our community members get timely access to the healthcare services they need,” said Larry Bailey, IU Health Paoli Hospital President. “These new walk-in hours will help our friends, family, and loved ones get the timely care they need while our emergency department is busy caring for people experiencing more life-threatening issues.”

The IU Health Paoli Walk-In team can treat primary care-related, non-emergency conditions, including:

  • Fever
  • Flu shots
  • Earache
  • Minor cuts that need stitches
  • Acute neck or back pain
  • Puncture wounds
  • Runny nose or cough
  • Sinus trouble
  • Skin rash, itch, sunburn
  • Sore throat
  • Sprains
  • Tetanus shot
  • Urinary tract infection

“This patient surge is wearing on our healthcare providers, so please do what you can to help them during this time,” said Bailey. “I encourage all community members who are able to get the COVID-19 vaccine and wear masks while out in public to help us better protect everyone from this virus.”
