Information on Frontier Communications Fiberoptic Build-Out Project

The City of Jasper would like to inform residents that Frontier Communications is currently engaged in a fiberoptic cable build-out project within the City of Jasper. 

As part of this project, residents may notice colored flags and colored paint markings within rights-of-way and easements on or near their property. 

These flags and paint markings are being placed by City of Jasper utility crews to identify and locate underground infrastructure as part of the 811 Locate System. The markings are being completed in anticipation of contractor crews working on behalf of Frontier Communications as part of the company’s fiberoptic build-out project. 

The City understands that these markings may raise questions for property owners.
