INDOT Announces Crews Will Begin Fixing Newton Street / U.S. 231 in Jasper Later This Month

JASPER -- Work on Newton Street / U.S. 231 in Jasper is set to begin in the coming weeks.
The City of Jasper is working with INDOT to repave and repair Newton Street in the areas where crews installed new water lines last year. Work is expected to begin on Wednesday, March 18th on U.S. 231 from Bartley Street to 37th Street. One lane of traffic will remain open however you can expect delays in that area.
There will also be a 10 foot lane restriction in place during the work. It’s expected to be wrapped up by August.
INDOT urges drivers to slow down and stay alert near the road crews.
