INDIANA STATE POLICE ASSISTS WITH DRUG ARRESTS

On Thursday, March 14, Troopers from the Bloomington District and Drug Enforcement Section Detectives assisted the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office with a drug investigation that resulted in the arrest of two subjects from Lawrence County and two subjects from Greene County.

Lawrence County Sheriff's Officers Brenton Trueblood and Andrew Tillet initiated a traffic stop in Lawrence County after observing a violation. Officers searched the vehicle and during that search located and seized approximately 17 grams of cocaine, 20 grams of Psilocybin, 11 grams of marijuana, and 20 controlled substance pills. Kevin Donnelly Jr., Age 38, of Springville, and Maria Carter, Age 42, of Springville were arrested and transported to the Lawrence County Jail where their custody was transferred.

Officers continued their investigation and served a search warrant at a residence located at East Blue Sky North in Greene County. Troopers Jesse Crane and Ben Burris assisted and during the search of the residence officers located and seized approximately 333 grams of methamphetamine, which is more than 11 ounces, 179 grams of Psilocybin, 163 grams of processed marijuana, 3 marijuana plants, 2 firearms, digital scales, and paraphernalia. Jason Hill, Age 49, of Springville, and Holly Stoll, Age 35, of Springville had arrived at the residence after officers made entry. Both were arrested and transported to the Greene County Jail where their custody was transferred. Charges related to methamphetamine and controlled substances involving Donnelly Jr. and Carter are expected to be filed in Greene County.

Following the traffic stop in Lawrence County Kevin Donnelly Jr. faces the following charges:

  • Dealing Cocaine, a Level 2 Felony
  • Dealing Schedule I Controlled Substance, a Level 3 Felony
  • Possession of Cocaine, a Level 4 Felony
  • Possession of Schedule I Controlled Substance, a Class A Misdemeanor
  • Possession of Marijuana, a Class B Misdemeanor

 Carter faces the following charges in Lawrence County:

  • Dealing Cocaine, a Level 2 Felony
  • Dealing Schedule I Controlled Substance, a Level 3 Felony
  • Possession of Cocaine, a Level 4 Felony
  • Possession of Schedule I Controlled Substance, a Class A Misdemeanor
  • Possession of Marijuana, a Class B Misdemeanor.

Following the search warrant in Greene County, Hill faces the following charges:

  • Possession of Methamphetamine, a Level 6 Felony
  • Cultivating Marijuana, a Class B Misdemeanor
  • Possession of Marijuana, a Class B Misdemeanor
  • Possession of Paraphernalia, a Class C Misdemeanor

Stoll faces the following charges in Greene County:

  • Possession of Methamphetamine, a Level 6 Felony
  • Cultivating Marijuana, a Class B Misdemeanor
  • Possession of Marijuana, a Class B Misdemeanor
  • Possession of Paraphernalia, a Class C Misdemeanor

Detectives from the Indiana State Police’s Drug Enforcement Section and the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office drug detective also assisted with the investigation and search of the residence in Greene County.
