Huntingburg Woman Arrested Following Overnight Domestic Incident

HUNTINGBURG -- A Huntingburg woman is in jail following an overnight domestic incident.

Police were called out to a home in the 900 block of East 6^th Street in Huntingburg around 11 o’clock last night by the woman’s boyfriend.

When officers arrived, they 34-year-old Maria McKnight admitted to drinking last night.

But things allegedly turned violent when the pair got into an argument.

That’s when McKnight reportedly began throwing items at the male victim, striking him in the back. 

She also allegedly scratched him on his neck and shoulders with her finger nails when his back was turned.

McKnight is charged with Domestic Battery.
