Huntingburg Man Jailed on Multiple Drug Charges Following Home Visit

HUNTINGBURG -- A home visit lands a Huntingburg man in jail on several felony charges.

State Troopers out of the Jasper post partnered with the Department of Corrections to search the home in the 1200 block of N. Chestnut Street in Huntingburg late last week.  The home belongs to 41-year-old Jonathan Opel.

Inside, officers found meth and multiple “Legend Drugs”.

He’s charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, three counts of Possession of a Legend Drug, Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance,  Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, Possession of a Schedule IV (4) Controlled Substance and Possession of Paraphernalia.
