Huntingburg Gives Town Signage, Other Updates, in Tuesday Council Meeting

Huntingburg - In Tuesday's Common Council meeting, Council members received updates on the town signage projects, among others.

Though nothing is currently final, the signage update for Huntingburg will look to span throughout the town. The town is currently in the design process for the north and south entrances to Huntingburg - each to reflect what the town is known for. Welcome signs coming in from the east and west are under consideration, though the committee is still nailing down where those would be located. They plan on including an area for town sponsors on the signs.

The signage update would not be limited to the perimeter of town, however. Identification signage is being considered for placement in front of public buildings and directional signage throughout town. The directional signage would come out of next year's budget.

Destination Huntingburg has acquired the Current Blend co-working space for entrepreneurs with the intention of revamping it's web browser presence.

All fire hydrants in town are now in service; expect Fall hydrant flushing until mid-October.
