Holiday World’s Happy Halloween Weekends Best in the Midwest

Holiday World’s family-friendly Happy Halloween Weekends was just named the #3 Theme Park Halloween Event in the nation by USA Today’s 10Best and was the top-ranked in the Midwest. This year’s dinosaur-themed event centers around a 12-acre Dino Corn Maze Adventure, as well as a 500-drone show, Dinos Soar in the Sky. The event also includes hayrides, all-new Halloween entertainment, trick-or-treating for children 12 and under, and a fall menu filled with treats.

“It’s amazing that family-friendly events are out-ranking some of the haunted experiences at other parks,” says Leah Koch-Blumhardt, Director of Communications and Fourth-Generation Owner. “We’re proud that Happy Halloween Weekends delivers a Halloween experience true to Holiday World’s brand of wholesome fun and value.”

The rides of Holiday World operate during the event as well as two immersive walkthrough mazes, Kitty’s 3D Candy Farm and Carnival Chaos. New Halloween-themed entertainment includes Ghouling Pianos, Halloween High School—an all-new stage show, and a new Halloween DJ dance party before the drone show. Dinos Soar in the Sky drone show will rotate between three entirely different shows this year. This Saturday’s show will be pop-centered, weather permitting.

Friday Night Live! continues through October 30 with night rides, live bands, and drink specials. Discounted tickets are available for Guests of Santa’s Cottages, a Holiday World Resort.

“Now is the perfect time to plan a Fall Break trip,” adds Koch-Blumhardt. “Santa’s Cottages book quickly, and you don’t want to miss this award-winning event.

2027 Season Passes are on sale now. Guests who purchase and pay in full this year can visit Sundays during Happy Halloween Weekends.
