Hocus Pocus to play at The Astra on Saturday, October 24

The Sanderson Sisters are back, and they’re coming to The Astra. The Heart of Jasper is set to kick off Movies on Main for 2026 when Hocus Pocus takes to the big screen at The Astra Theatre on Saturday, October 24 at 10:30 AM. However, this isn’t just a regular screening, but instead an interactive one that will undoubtedly prepare everyone for Halloween week!

The movie is FREE for all ages to attend through a partnership with Heart of Jasper and their “Movies on Main” series, supported by Smithville.

Come in costume, pick up your spell sheet at the door (explaining the interactive elements of the movie), and enjoy a movie-related game and photo op in the lobby. Refreshments are available to purchase in The Astra’s concession stand.

Bonus Movie Trail: The Greater Downtown Jasper businesses will have hidden small paper witch hats in their stores or windows the week before the movie. Find them, snap a picture, and show it at the door to get a small bonus prize! Be sure to support local while you’re on the hunt.
