Grant Program Offers Discounted Septic Tank Pump Outs for Area Residents

Homeowners with septic systems are reminded that regular septic tank maintenance is important for protecting both their property and local waterways. Experts recommend septic tanks be pumped every three to five years, depending on household usage and tank size. Without regular maintenance, sludge buildup can eventually lead to costly system failures.

To help residents maintain their systems, the Lower East Fork White River Watershed 319 Grant is offering septic tank pump outs at a discounted rate for eligible homeowners located within the watershed area. Reimbursements will be provided after service is completed by a selected Registered Septic Pumper.
