Gov. Braun Highlights Mosaic Center During National Public Health Week

In recognition of National Public Health Week, Indiana Governor Mike Braun today highlighted IU Health’s Mosaic Center as a leading example of how Indiana is strengthening its healthcare workforce while expanding career pathways for Hoosiers.

Healthcare remains one of Indiana’s most in-demand sectors, with thousands of open positions across clinical and support roles statewide – underscoring the need to build a strong, sustainable talent pipeline to support community health.

Since its launch in 2021, the center has supported both job seekers and current healthcare employees in advancing their careers through targeted training, industry-recognized certifications, and personalized career coaching. Participants earn credentials such as Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) and Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA), preparing them for high-demand roles across Indiana’s healthcare system.

“National Public Health Week is an opportunity to recognize the people and programs that strengthen the health of our communities,” said Gov. Braun. “The Mosaic Center demonstrates investing in workforce training and supporting career growth translates to Hoosiers building better futures while strengthening Indiana’s healthcare system.”

The program provides individualized support throughout the training process, including career coaching, resume development, mock interviews, and dedicated time to prepare for certification exams. Participants are also connected directly with hiring teams, creating clear pathways from training to employment and long-term advancement within the healthcare field.

Through its partnership with Training for Success, the center delivers Career Readiness Training that builds confidence, expands career awareness, and prepares for sustained success. This hands-on approach introduces individuals to healthcare environments while strengthening the skills needed to succeed in both clinical and non-clinical roles.

As Indiana continues to prioritize both workforce development and public health, programs like the Mosaic Center reflect a coordinated approach – aligning education, training, and employer demand to ensure Hoosiers are prepared for critical roles that support the well-being of communities across the state.
