Four Dubois County Groups Awarded Grants By Kimball Electronics Gives

From Local Sources

JASPER -- The Kimball Electronics Gives (KEG) employee giving circle has announced the granting of $6,000 to six non-profit organizations—four of them based in Dubois County.

The Dubois County winners are Crisis Connection ($1,500), A Kid’s Place ($1,000), Mentors For Youth ($1,000) and Anderson Woods Summer Camp ($1,000).

The other winners are Indianapolis-based organizations: Kids’ Voice of Indiana ($750) and the Propylaeum Historic Foundation ($750).

Kimball Electronics has two manufacturing facilities in Indianapolis.

Kimball Electronics World Headquarters employees, based in Jasper, voluntarily formed the giving circle last year, with interested employees donating $120 each to become an integral part of this network of giving. The giving circle concept supports their company’s citizenship guiding principles and corporate social responsibility efforts.

In support of the employee-driven effort, the company donated money to help create an endowment thru the Dubois County Community Foundation and matched each $120 donated by employees.
