Forestry Roundtable Set for Thursday, February 5
Join your neighbors and friends for a casual evening discussing forest ownership
experiences! Let the Sun Shine In-Indiana is hosting a forestry roundtable, set for
Thursday, February 5 from 5 to 8 PM EST at Schwartz Family Restaurant.
Being a forest steward is challenging. Come chat with fellow landowners, and
learn from their experiences. Does your forest need a harvest? Do you have too
many deer? Not enough turkeys or quail? Everything going just right? Join the
conversation to learn how others are managing their woodlands, and share your
expertise. Professional foresters have also been invited to share their
experiences.
Come to Schwartz Family Restaurant any time after 4:30 EST. Schwartz Restaurant
is located on the west side of SR 37, north of the Interstate, at 6738 W. Governors
Trace, Eckerty. Attendees will be responsible for their food and beverage
purchase. Bring your dinner to the back room. The roundtable will begin at 5:15
with introductions, and conclude shortly after 7:30.
Registration is requested. Please call Judi Brown, Let the Sun Shine In Coordinator
at 812-631-4904, or contact by email at [email protected] by Wednesday,
February 4. Schwartz Restaurant would like an idea of how many people to plan
for.
Roundtable sponsors are Association of Consulting Foresters, Indiana Chapter,
IDNR, Division of Forestry, Let the Sun Shine In-Indiana, and USDA Forest Service,
Hoosier National Forest.
