Firearm Theft, Attempted Vehicle Theft, Among Ten Charges for Daviess County Man

Odon - On Tuesday, an incident that began with a vehicle wreck ended in ten charges for an Odon man.


At 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, the Daviess County Sheriffs Department was alerted to a vehicle crash on S.R. 58. Prior to the arrival of law enforcement, the driver had fled to another location. Afterwards, dispatchers received a call from a residence alleging that a suspect was in their barn, smashing windows.

At the residence, law enforcement found Kurtis Fuesler, 28, of Odon, outside the residence. According to Indiana State Police, after a short conversation with Fuesler, he once again attempted to flee. During the chase, Troopers witnessed Fuesler toss a handgun - the handgun was later located, and determined to be stolen. 

The use of a taser ended the chase.

Kurtis Fuesler has been charged with: Resisting Law Enforcement, Theft of a Firearm, Possession of a Stolen Firearm without a License, Brandishing a Firearm, Attempted Vehicle Theft, Vandalism, Breaking and Entering, Trespassing, Public Intoxication, and Disturbing the Peace.
