Ferdinand Man Tests .44 BAC Following Monday Crash, Charged With Felony OWI

FERDINAND -- An alleged drunk driver caused a crash in Ferdinand on Monday.

Police say Jeremy Hammers crashed in the intersection of SR 162 and South Industrial Road around 6:20 Monday afternoon.

A passenger in his vehicle was not wearing a seatbelt and he struck his head on the windshield. 

Police believe both the driver and that passenger had been drinking.

Hammers’ blood alcohol content tested .44.

He’s charged with felony OWI. 

The driver of the other vehicle was not hurt.
