Female's Body Found in Blue River, Investigation Underway

WASHINGTON CO. -- Indiana State Police are investigating after a body was found in the Blue River in Washington County Saturday.

ISP says two people found the female’s body around 4:00 Saturday afternoon while four-wheeling in the area.

An autopsy confirmed the body is that of 31-year-old Christina Collins of Pekin, Indiana.

That autopsy also revealed no signs of a struggle, drowning or trauma and a cause of death still hasn’t been determined.

Toxicology reports could take up to six weeks to come back.

Police believe she had been deceased and in the water since Thursday evening.So far, authorities do not believe foul play is involved, however, the investigation continues.
