JASPER -- The list of candidates running in that special caucus for common council is growing today.

Now eight Jasper residents have thrown their hat in the ring to run in this month’s special caucus for common council.

They need to elect a replacement for Dean Vonderheide who was sworn in Friday as Jasper’s new mayor.

Steve Block, Adrian Engleberth, Chad Lueken, Tim Bell, Steve Messmer and Paul Lorey have all expressed interest in running for the common council seat.

Bernie Fallon and Merrill Osterman both added their names to that list yesterday afternoon, according to county party chair and State Senator Mark Messmer….

The special caucus for common council is January 12th.  The deadline to file to run is January 9th.
