Dubois County Returns to Work, Slashes Unemployment By About 50% in May

JASPER -- As the economy continues to reopen, more and more Dubois County residents are getting back to work.

Dubois County reported the second lowest unemployment in the state last month at 5.7%.  That’s about half of what it was in April when the unemployment rate stood at 10.6%.

Daviess County had the lowest unemployment in the state in May at 5.6%.  Martin County 5.9%.  Spencer County reported 8% unemployment last month; 9% in Warrick County. Pike County saw 9.8% unemployment in May… with Crawford County at 10.8%.  Perry County reported 11.7%.

Orange County had the second highest unemployment in the state last month at 18.5%.
