Dubois County Pride Festival Celebrates Community This Saturday

Pride is more than a month on the calendar, and this Saturday, Dubois County Pride is bringing that message to the Jasper Riverwalk for its 7th Annual Pride Festival.

The free, all-ages festival will take place Saturday, October 17, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Jasper Riverwalk and Dave Buehler Plaza. Everyone is invited to enjoy a day filled with community, entertainment, creativity and celebration.

Free festival activities will include inflatables, face painting, kids' crafts and activities, a 360 photo booth, comedy, live music and more. Attendees can also visit local vendors, community organizations and resources and enjoy food and drinks from a variety of food trucks.

After six years of holding the festival in June, Dubois County Pride moved the event to October this year following community feedback. The change helps reduce weather and scheduling conflicts and provides an opportunity to celebrate Pride during LGBTQ+ History Month.

“Pride isn't limited to June, and neither is our commitment to the LGBTQIA+ community,” said Mary Warner, President of Dubois County Pride. “Pride is about creating spaces where people feel seen, supported and welcome throughout the year. Moving our festival to October gives us another opportunity to come together, celebrate our community and remind people that there is a place for everyone here.”

Dubois County Pride's mission is to empower and affirm the LGBTQIA+ community and allies by fostering connections, building support systems and creating spaces for self-expression and belonging.

“We hope people will come out, bring their friends and family, and simply enjoy the day with us,” Warner said. “Whether you've celebrated Pride for years or this is your first festival, you are welcome here.”

The 2026 festival is made possible through the generous support of our Champions of Pride sponsors including John & Linda Kahle, MasterBrand, and Kimball International,
