Dubois County Museum to Host Annual Membership Dinner

The Dubois County Board of Directors invites the public to attend their annual Membership Dinner and meeting. This year’s event will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at the museum. Doors will open at 5:00 PM Eastern time. 

Please RSVP by January 14 by mail, online, or in person. Return the enclosed slip that was included in your letter to the museum by mailing it to the museum at 2704 N. Newton Street, Suite A, Jasper, IN  47546. You can also visit www.duboiscountymuseum.org/monetary- donation or stop by the lobby desk. 

Before dinner, a series of the museum will host a series of presentations on mining. At 5:15, Randy Wellmeyer will lead a discussion on Mining in Dubois County in the Duff-Huntingburg area. Immediately following, Tom Fierst will give a presentation on the Dubois County silver mining bust in the late 1880s, and Jim Corn will provide additional insights into the mining history of the region. 

Dinner will be served at 6:15, with a catered meal Oink Inc for $25 per person. Offerings will include brisket, smoked chicken, German fried potatoes, baked beans, green beans, and dinner rolls. Dessert will feature dirt pudding, cupcakes and cookies. A cash bar will also be available.
