Dubois County Health Department to Host Free Home & Family Safety Training

The Dubois County Health Department is partnering with Operation Mind, Body & Soul and the Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) to offer a free Home & Family Safety Training course on September 2, 2026. 

The training will take place from 5:30–6:30 p.m. at the Dubois County Health Department, located at 1187 South Saint Charles Street in Jasper. The course is open to Dubois County residents ages 18 and older. 

The Home & Family Safety Training will focus on practical, family-centered safety topics, including gun safety, emergency planning, safety planning, and suicide prevention. The goal of the training is to provide participants with information and resources they can use to help protect their families and respond to emergencies. 

“Plan today. Protect tomorrow. Save a life.” 

Registration is required due to limited class space. Residents interested in attending are encouraged to reserve their spot in advance.
