Dubois County Health Department: Food Handler Training

Dubois Co.- As of July 1, 2022, new Indiana State legislation requires every Home-Based Vendor to obtain a food handler certificate, including farmer’s market vendors.

Upon request, the vendor shall provide a copy of the certificate to the local health department or an end consumer.

Individuals must obtain their certificates online prior to selling their product. In an effort to help, the Dubois County Health Department is offering testing equipment and internet access to those who need some assistance in this process.  A class will be held on Wednesday, April 5th from 3pm-6pm at the Dubois County Health Department to complete the food handler course. The total cost to earn the certificate is $25 ($15 to the testing company [credit card payment only] and a $10 service fee [cash, check, or credit card]).

To setup an online account, you must have a valid email address. Please allow yourself enough time to complete the course along with the exam. If you are interested in scheduling a time to complete this training, please contact Christina Pierini, 812-481-7055 ext. 3 or Kymberlee Kramer, 812-481-7055 ext. 2.
